eero Signal provides dedicated cellular backup connectivity for your entire eero network, not just a few devices. Your network will automatically switch over in the event of an internet outage without you having to lift a finger. That means you can see who’s at your door even when your car internet goes down, keep your home security cameras online, join that important work video call without scrambling for a hotspot, and keep streaming services going for the kids. When you experience an outage, eero Signal will kick in and automatically connect to the optimal cellular network for your location. When your internet service is restored, the device automatically goes into standby mode so it’s ready for the next internet outage.  

The simple way to stay connected

Setup is quick and simple in the eero app. Simply plug eero Signal into a compatible eero—any USB-C-powered eero that supports Wi-Fi 6 and up—and follow the in-app instructions. Pick the eero that’s in the room with the best cell service, the higher up and closer to an exterior wall the better.

eero Signal requires backup data for connectivity, and you have two options with eero Plus. An annual eero Plus subscription provides up to 10 GB of backup data per year to get you started—ideal for shorter and less frequent outages. New annual eero Plus subscribers who purchase eero Signal hardware and subscribe to the annual eero Plus plan will receive six months of service included with their purchase. After the first six months of service, eero Plus will renew for $99.99, covering the next 12 months.

For longer or more frequent outages, the eero Plus 100 tier includes up to 100 GB of backup data per month. New and existing customers can get eero Plus 100 at a price of $99 for the first year (50% off), auto-renewing at $199.99 a year. In addition to internet backup, eero Plus also provides enhanced online security, Identity Protection that includes $1 million in identity theft insurance, advanced Parental Controls, and privacy services. eero Signal 5G is coming later in 2026 for $199.99. The key difference is that it can operate on the growing number of 5G networks as well as 4G LTE networks, offering broader compatibility. The 4G LTE version provides similar backup functionality at a more affordable price. Both versions were designed with a singular goal: to keep you working, streaming, and playing when your primary internet goes out—like a backup generator for your internet.
